My Friends and Fellow Stormers.
My e mail, anthony_tang_28@yahoo.com.sg was hacked into on 9th Dec.
The culprit used my contact directory in my contact list and sent an e mail to all my friends that I am stranded in Europe and to those who responded, he asked for $2,000 pounds to be credited into my account at Western Union Bank.
Many of my friends called me on my mobile and found out that it as a hoax.
A few went to WU Bank to try to remit the money when they were warned by the cashier there of a fruad like this going on.
This prompted my friends to call me first before sending the money.
I reported the case to the police in Singapore, but they said that they will not investigate as no money changed hands and the question of fruad or cheating did not happen.
My entire contact list of e mail addresses was wiped out, and I will need some time to build them up again.
The culprit hsve taken over my account and changed my password, thereby barring me out. In the meantime, I have written to Yahoo in Singappore, hoping that a solution can be found to recover my web address,
Will all who received this mail, treat it as a hoax.

Best way is to forget the account and create a new one.
The correct way for yahoo would be to close your account on your request but how to prove you are the original holder?
I guess yahoo will not even reply to your request, every account is business for them

HI Anthony , i have received similar emails few times already, i just ignored it as the story just could not make me to believe it.
A few of my friends actually replied and they asked for 2,000 pounds to be deposited to a Glasgow Bank through Western Union Bank.
He intercepted all my e mails and answered them when my friend wrote to "me"

I have managed to restore my Yahoo mail through the most complicated procedure in the world.
The hacker changed my Password and security questions, therefore I was not able to access my e mail at all.
I cannot even log on as my account has a different pass word, and my security questions have been changed completely.
Up to now, I still cannot log in to Facebook. We believe the culprit went in by Facebook.
Facebook owners please be careful with your details.
Do you know that hackers put in a fake Facebook to get your details?

Yap, Facebook has taken almost everything from us, all conversations between frds are done thru facebook these days....that is why the group forums are totally dead.
